Its funny how when you day you are working in a cruise everyone thinks you are in a pool watching the sea drinking a cocktail with an umbrella on top...
Reallity is nothing like that....
Ok soo thinks i have noted on my first two weeks.
Food,,,its not as bad as in yellowstone...but i could swear i am getting fat here,,, everything is fried or very sweet.... american food in the end.... work, its indeed 9 to 12 hours long 7 days a week, and no we do not have day off,, and work is tyring...
My job specially has no regular hours,,i work morning,, afternoon, nigth,,midnigth,, early morning,,,like any other production in the world,, cos it all pretty much depends on the show,,,and the dvds and events i have to film and do,,, so i never really have more than 4 hours free,,, i sleep then morning,, afternoon, nigth,,midnigth and early morning,, sometimes for an hour,,sometimes for 2 hours,,, the longest i sleep i have had has been 4 hours,,, soo there you go,,,you are pretty much tired all the time.
they did tell me that on the interviews so,,no big deal,,, what they didnt tell me was that you are not alowed anywhere,,yeh,,you cannot use the pools you cannot go to the fancy restaurants,,,orthe shops,,,or the casino,,, or the disco,,, or the shows,,,, it is
all forbiden,, because you came here to WORK,,, so if you want to use any of those facilities,,, well,,, pay a cruise and go on vacation..(comment aside,,,oooo wow,,,,moving hard again,,, its been two stormy nigths in a row) anyway you are only alowed where you work and in what i like to call now the caves of the ship,,, yep,, like a mouse you move trough the ship using hidden doors, halls,stairs and elevators, that are away fromt he guest view.
Its not all bad either,,, the have entretaiment for us,,, some bingo nites in a small crew bar,, call the back deck,, also some theme parties like the latin party,,, the is a gym for us,,, that smells like feet, a place with billar pool, a small confortable library,,, but what i like the most its my room,,,because lucky me,,, i got a specially huge room with windows and plasma tv,,, since i cant go anywhere i am thinking will buy a ps3 or wii with videogames...
The ports,,yeh i havent been able to see anything because my free hours are not long enough to take a tour,,, but i got down on St. Martin yesterday and took pictures on a place near the ship,, it was fun...
well,,,i think that sums up,,, not everything,, but i am tired and i dont want to think anymore,,,
to resume,,, this is work NOT vacation,,,so,, please stop thinking i am on eternal holliday here.
